Golf Endowment Renamed for Conditt

FORT WORTH, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University men's golf program announced today that its Lee Trevino Endowed Golf Fund has been renamed the Lee Trevino-Wendell Conditt Endowed Golf Fund tat Texas Wesleyan University o honor Conditt's many years of service to the program.

Conditt along with a committee including O.D. Bounds, Arnold Salinas, Dough Higgins and Guinn Phillips established the fund in 1984. As of May 31, 2013, the fund represented a corpus of $320,000 and supports two current student-athletes.

For many years, Conditt has supported both the endowment and the O.D. Bounds Golf Classic and has been integral to the success of the program.

Texas Wesleyan University men's golf is one of the most storied programs in the NAIA. They rank second with six national titles. The Rams also boast a record nine individual medalists at the NAIA National Championships and last season took the program's tenth national runner-up finish. The team is currently ranked third nationally and will tee-off the season at Abilene Christian University's Charles Coody Invitational at Diamondback Golf Course September 9-10.
