AUSTIN, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University volleyball team (13-14, 6-3 RRAC) breezed to a three-set Red River Athletic Conference win at Huston-Tillotson University (0-23, 0-11) on Tuesday.

 

The Rams hammered Huston-Tillotson 25-4 in the opening set. Head coach Christy Clawson was then able to spread the playing time out. The Rams took the following sets with scores of 25-14 and 25-18.

 

Katherine Rosenbush led the Rams with seven kills. Kelsey Phillips added five kills and four service aces. Haelee Horne posted four kills and 10 digs. Kristen Venhuizen added four aces to the win. Evoni Darling paced the offense with 17 assists and seven digs.

 

The Lady Rams will return to action on Thursday, when they host fifth ranked UT-Brownsville on Dig Pink Night at the Sid Richardson Center. Fans are encouraged to wear their pink for the game. There will be a silent auction for the Breast Cancer Awareness Jersey’s that the team will wear during the match. The auction will begin during warm-ups and close at the end of the second set.
