Lady Rams Rip Crusaders

FORT WORTH, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University women’s basketball team (3-0) ran past Dallas Christian College, winning 100-42 at the Sid Richardson Center on Friday night.

The Lady Rams shot out of the gate, scoring early and often. Tiffany Adair made a jumper that capped a 6-0 run to start the game. Lady Crusader Titan Chuma put in a layup to make it 6-2 with 18:34 left. Then the Lady Rams put on a show, going on a 22-0 run making it a 28-2 Wesleyan advantage with 13:00 left in the half. The Lady Rams continued to pour it on, keeping the pedal to the floor and cruising to a 54-17 lead at the halfway mark.

The stunned Lady Crusaders came out composed and energetic in the second half, but the Lady Rams gave it right back. Texas Wesleyan went on a 14-3 run to end the ball game taking the 100-42 win.

Shayla Moore led all players with 18 points. Moore went 7-for-11 from the field and added six assists. Brittany White posted 17 points and five boards for the Lady Rams. Adair had 10 points and six assists in the win. Wesleyan shot 51.9% from the field, while Dallas Christian shot only 32.0%. Texas Wesleyan won the turnover battle as the Lady Crusaders turned the ball over 39 times to the Lady Rams 13.

The Lady Rams will take on St. Gregory’s University on Monday, November 22, at 6:00 p.m. in the Sid Richardson Center.
