Lady Rams are Thinking Pink

FORT WORTH, TX:  The Texas Wesleyan University women’s soccer teams invites fans to PINK OUT the stands on Thursday, as they take on Southwestern Assemblies of God University.  The game is the 3rd Annual Dr. Elizabeth Alexander Breast Cancer Awareness Game.

Dr. Alexander is a professor of History at Texas Wesleyan and is a breast cancer survivor who has been cancer free since 2001.  The Lady Rams will be sporting pink armbands and will be making a $1,000 donation to the Susan G. Komen Foundation in Dr. Alexander’s name.

Thursday’s game is scheduled for a 5:30 p.m. start at Martin Field.

At 12-3 overall the Lady Rams are just two wins shy of matching the program record of 14 set in 2005 and matched in 2009.  With a 4-2 record in conference play, the Lady Rams are tied for third in the RRAC standings with three games to play prior to the RRAC Tournament.  SAGU is currently 2-11 on the season and 0-6 in conference play.
