TYLER, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University men’s soccer team (5-3-1, 2-0 RRAC) finished off a 2-0 week on the road with a 2-1 win at Texas College (1-6, 1-1) on Saturday.
In the 25th minute,
Ivan Kovacevic got by the Texas College keeper and hit the empty net to give the Rams an early 1-0 advantage. The Steers leveled the contest in the 36th minute, when Jesus Segovia found Alfredo Jiminez for a score. Both teams took eight shots in the opening frame and went to the break tied at one.

Liren Halle who found the net for the game-winning goal in the 53rd minute.
The Rams outshot the Steers 14-13 for the game and controlled the ball to the tune of an 8-2 advantage in corner kick opportunities. An aggressive TWU squad was called offside 11 times, while Texas College stepped early just once.
Dejan Milosevic made seven saves to preserve his fifth win of the season. Texas College’s Alexis Garcia made two stops in the loss.
The Rams will return home on Thursday, September 29, when they host Our Lady of the Lake University. That game is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. start at Martin Field.
