Wesleyan shot only 39 percent from the field in the first half, but the Lady Lions had shooting woes of their own, going 31 percent from the field. The Rams also took advantage of SAGU’s 15 first half turnovers, outscoring the Lady Lions 13-0 off turnovers.

The Lady Rams kept the pressure on in the second half, improved from the field shooting 47 percent, and only turned the ball over five times. The Lady Lions were simply overmatched as the Wesleyan kept a double digit lead throughout the second half. Brittany White nailed a three with 3:06 left in the game to make it 69-42, putting the game out of reach. Texas Wesleyan went on to nab the 69-47 win.
