FORT WORTH, TX:  The Texas Wesleyan University men's basketball team is set to host the 7th Annual Clifford Classic this Thanksgiving Weekend.  This year the event features two teams that are tied for second in the NAIA Preseason Coaches' Poll as Texas Wesleyan's new conference, the Sooner Athletic Conference, takes on the Rams' old conference, the Red River Athletic Conference.
 
The lineup features the Rams and the Oklahoma Baptist University Bison of the SAC and the LSU-Shreveport Pilots and Jarvis Christian College Bulldogs of the RRAC.  The Rams are currently in their first swing through the SAC after 11 seasons in the RRAC.
 
The two No. 2's, Oklahoma Baptist and LSU-Shreveport will square off to open the Classic on Friday, November 29, at 5:30 p.m.  The Rams will take on Jarvis Christian at 7:30 p.m.
 
Saturday's action begins with OBU vs. Jarvis Christian at 2:00 p.m. and wraps with Texas Wesleyan against LSUS at 4:00 p.m.
 
The event is named for Marty ('52) and Patsy ('55) Clifford, both longtime supporters of Texas Wesleyan Athletics.
