SAN ANTONIO, TX:  The Texas Wesleyan University men's basketball team (4-2) suffered an 82-69 loss at the hands of 24th ranked Our Lady of the Lake University (3-3) on Friday.
 
OLLU drained three three's to start the game and quickly opened an 11-2 lead.  The Rams chipped away and eventually tied the game at 27 after a three-pointer from Dallas Jones.  The Rams briefly snagged a 29-28 lead, but it was the Saints who led at the break, 36-33.
 
In the second half, the Saints again started hot.  A 15-2 run gave OLLU command at 56-41.  A field goal from Kenny Rhymes later cut the deficit to single digits at 63-55 midway through the period.  However, the Saints were able to hold the Rams at arm's length before closing out the game 82-69.
 
Three Rams reached double-figures in scoring led by Jones' 15.  Jorge Redmon added 11 and Rilwan Bakare finished with 10 points.  Rymes (9 points, 9 rebounds) and Eli Alexander (8 points, 8 rebounds) just missed double-doubles in the loss.
 
OLLU's Xavier Roberson led all scorers with 30 points.  De'Quentin Greer added 13 points and seven rebounds to the effort.
 
For the game, the Rams outshot the Saints 43%-38% while dominating the battle of the boards 53-36.  However, the Saints forced 26 turnovers while committing just nine themselves.
 
Texas Wesleyan will continue action at OLLU's Halo Classic on Saturday.  The Rams will take on the University of St. Thomas Houston at 2:00 p.m.
