Cedar Hill, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University women's basketball team (17-7) handled Northwood University (2-9) 80-50 on Thursday night.
The Lady Rams stepped on the gas in the first half and never let off, moving the ball around well and frequently catching the Lady Nights out of position. Texas Wesleyan held the Lady Knights to only 19 points in the first half as the Lady Rams led 35-19 at the break.
It was no contest in the second half as the Lady Rams offense posted 45 points to take an 30-point 80-50 win. "Tonight was an excellent team effort," commented head coach Bill Franey after the game, "Every player contributed to the win. I hope this prepares the team for a tough Langston team on Saturday."
The Lady Rams will celebrate homecoming on Saturday, February 9 and take on Langston University at 2:00 PM
