“We just ran into a tremendously hot shooting SAGU team and I am not sure what we could have done to change the outcome tonight,” said head coach Brennen Shingleton. “Our program will bounce back and I look forward to the process.”
Texas Wesleyan finishes the 2012-2013 season with an overall record of 20-12 and 12-10 in conference play, which marks the sixth consecutive season the Rams have produced 20 or more wins. The Rams have been a resilient team all season, and a group first year head coach Shingleton will remember as he embarks upon the future of the program.
“Really a tough way to end a very resilient season,” said Shingleton. “I am very proud of these young men on and off the court, and for our three seniors; there is no better presentation of student athletes I can imagine being associated with. We went through a lot of good and great times, and I know the future holds a lot of positive situations for our basketball program.”
