KERRVILLE, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University women's soccer team improved to 3-0 with a 5-0 shutout of Schreiner University (0-2) on Sunday.
A solid start to the season has seen the Lady Rams outscore their opponents 21-0 including Sunday's action.
After notching a hat trick against LeTourneau University on Friday,
Jessica Watton added a pair of goals against Schreiner.
Leah Valtman got the scoring started in the 16th minute.
Shrareh Asadi found the net just before the half to make it a 2-0 advantage at the intermission. The Lady Rams outshot Mountaineers13-0 and held an 8-0 advantage in corner kicks in the first half.
Watton cracked the scoreboard in the 61st minute and again in the 82nd on an assist from
Lauren Kee. Kee then capped the scoring with a goal off an assist from
Alexi Ellsworth in the 88th minute.
For the game, Texas Wesleyan held a commanding 27-1 advantage in shots and 17-0 in shots on goal.
The Lady Rams will make the short trip to Richardson, TX, on Friday to take on UT-Dallas. That game is scheduled for a 5:00 p.m. start.
