Shrareh Asadi staked the Rams to a 1-0 lead off an assist from

After being outshot 16-4 in the opening half, the Lady Rams controlled the ball better in the second half notching a 9-8 lead in shots and 5-4 in corner kicks.
In the 50th minute Watton was again taken down in the box, and again Story saved the PK. The score held at 1-0 until
Alexis Michaelkovich found the net in the 77th minute to give the Lady Rams a two-goal cushion.
For the game, the Chaps led 24-13 in shots and 10-7 in shots on goal. However,
Nikki Lockwood (5-0-1) came up with 10 saves to preserve her fifth shutout in six contests this season.
"We have been working on keeping a positive attitude even when things don't break your way," commented head coach Josh Gibbs. "I think that really paid off for the girls today. We could have gotten down with the two missed penalty kicks, but we stayed up and got a nice win over a good team."
The Lady Rams will open Sooner Athletic Conference play on Friday, when they host Northwood University. That game is scheduled for a 5:00 p.m. start at Martin Field.
