BETHANY, OK: The Texas Wesleyan University women's basketball team (7-4, 1-1 SAC) picked up a 71-58 win over Southwestern Christian University at the Pickens-Springer Gym on Saturday.

A pair of three pointers from
Kashyla Fields and
Stacey Darnley gave the Lady Rams an early 6-2 to start. The Eagles quickly cut the lead to 9-8 on Lydia Ross two pointer with 13:58 left in the first half. Southwestern Christian took a 12-11 lead, but Texas Wesleyan went on an 8-0 run capped by a
Liz Handy triple to put up a 19-12 cushion.

The Eagles battled back again to tie the game at 24-24 with under three minutes to go. An Andi McGil jumper gave the Eagles a lead before
Onyesonam Nolisa responded for the Rams with a swish on the other end to tie. Southwestern Christian had the last possession of the first half and gained a 28-26 lead going into halftime.

Fields hit another shot from downtown to start the second half that spurred a 10-0 rally to post a 36-28 lead. Wesleyan stayed on the throttle and dominated the ball game, pushing the lead to a 20-point, 56-36 advantage on a
Caitlin Boal lay in. Amy Moody knocked down a shot to keep the Rams cruising at 62-40 with 8:55 left in the game. The Eagles cut the lead to 66-57, but the Lady Rams shut the door, taking a 71-58 win.

Fields led the Lady Rams with 21 points, going 5-9 behind the arc. Nolisa notched a double-double behind 12 points and 13 boards.
Katelynn Threats also earned a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Darnley added 13 points in the win.

The Lady Rams will be back in action against St. Thomas University (FL) on Tuesday, December 15. Tip-off is set for 6:00 pm.Â
