Box Score 2 SHAWNEE, OK: The Texas Wesleyan University volleyball team (0-2) took a pair of losses to Baker University (RV) (2-0) 3-1 (25-15, 25-18, 29-31, 25-17) and the defending national champion and top ranked UT-Brownsville (2-0) 3-0 (25-11, 25-17, 25-17) in the Oklahoma Baptist Tournament on Friday.

The Lady Rams opened the 2014 campaign against the Baker Wildcats who are currently receiving votes in the NAIA Top 25 Preseason Poll. The Wildcats took the first two games by a decent margin before the Lady Rams showed some strength and poise to grab the third set. Baker came back in the fourth set though, and secured the match for the win.

Meghan Finley led the Rams with nine kills, while adding 10 digs, three solo blocks, and five block assists.
Shelby Stinnett had 20 digs and eight kills.
Alex Hendee notched eight kills behind 14 digs.
Lauren Hamaker picked up a double double with 12 assists and 14 digs.
Kristina Gafford tallied 14 assists and eight digs in the match, while
Starnisha Bodie racked 13 block assists and a solo block in the loss.

The Ocelots stymied the Lady Rams as the #1 team in the land took a 3-0 win, but the Lady Rams did a great job of spreading the volleyball around as eight different Rams posted a kill against UT-B. Hendee and
Lynsay Buell both had four kills in the match, while Hendee added 14 digs as well. Hamaker nearly had another double double with 11 assists and nine digs.

The Lady Rams will continue in day two of the tournament with a match against Lindenwood University at 1:30 pm, before taking on Friends University at 6:00 pm at the Noble Complex.
