FORT WORTH, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University women's basketball team (13-5) ran their win streak to four with an 84-73 win over Arlington Baptist University (9-5) at the Sid Richardson Center on Monday.

Stacy Darnley started the Lady Rams off right with a splash from beyond the arc to take an early lead. The Patriots posted a 6-0 run to take an 8-6 lead, but a
Carneisha Sims four point run gave the Rams a 12-10 lead. Arlington Baptist fought to keep the game close and tied the game again at 16-16. Â The Patriots continued to cap a7-0 run on a Rosalyn Thorpe layup to grab a 20-16 lead midway through the first half.

 Arlington Baptist extended the lead to 24-18 before Texas Wesleyan tied the game with a 6-0 run. The Patriots answered that with 10-2 rally to take control of a 34-26 lead with five minutes left in the half. Wesleyan ramped up the energy and exploded offensively, outscoring the Pats 28-10 to change the momentum and take a 48-44 halftime lead.

The Patriots tied the game to start second half, but the Rams quickly regained control of the game and sustained that control the rest of the game. A
Katelynn Threats lay-in gave the Lady Rams a 56-50 lead. An
Onyesonam Nolisa fast break layup kept Wesleyan with a comfortable advantage at 69-61. The Pats cut into the lead at times, but each time the Rams shut the door. Texas Wesleyan finished the contest strong with an 84-73 win.

The Rams shot 50 percent from the field, while Arlington Baptist shot 47 percent. Wesleyan controlled the paint, 52-38 and controlled the boards, 45-30.

Threats led the Lady Rams with 20 points. Nolisa notched a double-double with 12 points and 17 rebounds, while adding four blocks in the win. Darnley tallied 17 points, six assists, and six boards
