FORT WORTH, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University men's soccer team (4-1) shutout Huston-Tillotson University (2-3) 2-0 at Martin Field on Tuesday.
The Rams got off 13 shots in the first half and led 6-1 in corner kicks, but the game remained scoreless through the intermission.
In the second half,
Rade Pavic played a cross from right to left across the goal and
Shaun Miltner got his head on the ball for the game's first goal in the 50th minute. Ten minutes later Pavic played another ball from the right side and
Ofir Avisar was able to finish his first collegiate goal.
For the game, the Rams outshot Huston-Tillotson 26-13 and led 8-3 in corner kick opportunities.
Marko Jovanovic (4-1) needed four saves to complete his second shutout of the season. HTU's Jose Ibarra made three saves in the loss.
The Rams will return to action on Friday, when they host the University of St. Thomas-Houston. That game is scheduled for a 5:00 p.m. start at Martin Field.

- The Rams have two shutouts already this season on the heels of a five shutout season last year. The school's single season record for shutouts is eight.
