MUSKOGEE, OK: The Texas Wesleyan University women's soccer team (10-5-1, 7-1-1 SAC) rolled to a 7-0 win in their regular season finale at Bacone College (2-13, 0-9 SAC) on Saturday.
The Rams led 4-0 at halftime after goals from
Katie Baugh,
Samantha Moore,
Drea Molina, and
Theresa Garsztecki.
The second half featured a pair of goals from
Taylor Ross, and the day was capped by the first collegiate goal for senior defender
Kaylie Hart.
Hart, a defender from Houston, TX, has played in all 69 games during her four-year career and started 68 of them. She had recorded three career assists (including two this season), but had never netted a goal.
Other statistics from the game were not immediately available.
With the regular season at a close, the stage is now set for the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament. The Rams are the second seed in the tournament and will host seventh seeded Southwestern Christian University on Friday.
If they are to win that game, the Rams would then host a semifinal contest on Monday, November 7. The SAC Championship game will be hosted by the highest remaining seed on Friday, November 11.
