Lady Rams Set to Host SAC Tournament Game on Friday

FORT WORTH, TX:  The Texas Wesleyan University women's soccer team (10-5-1) is set to host Southwestern Christian University (5-12) in a Sooner Athletic Conference Quarterfinal contest Friday night.  The game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. kick at Martin Field.
 
The Rams are the second seed in the SAC Tournament while the Eagles are seeded seventh.  The two teams met once this season (in Bethany, OK), and Texas Wesleyan came away with a 2-1 thanks to an 89th minute goal from Taylor Ross.
 
Overall, the Rams are 4-0 all-time against SCU.
 
The Rams hold a 2-3 record in three SAC Tournament Appearances.  They reached the SAC Semifinals in both 2013 and 2014.
 
With a win on Friday, the Rams would host an SAC Semifinal contest on Monday.  The SAC Championship game will be hosted by the highest remaining seed on Friday, November 11.
 
Ramblings
 
- At 10-5-1, the Lady Rams have posted the program's eighth 10-win season in the last nine years.
 
- Texas Wesleyan notched a school-record 8-game winning streak and a school-record 10-game unbeaten streak this season.  During that 10-game stretch, they outscored their opponents 35-6 while notching five shutout victories.
