FORT WORTH, TX: Looking to start your New Year's celebration a little early? Look no further. The 19th ranked Texas Wesleyan University men's basketball team will host Bethel College at the Sid Richardson Center on New Year's Eve. The game is set for a 2:00 p.m. tip-off.
The Rams are off to a 10-2 start on the season and have won three in a row since suffering a 91-90 loss at then No. 1 Mid-America Christian University.

Bethel, a member of the NAIA Division II Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) is 9-5 on the season. The Threshers are coming off a 102-63 exhibition loss to NCAA Division II Fort Hays State University. That contest came on the heels of a 108-69 thrashing of Kansas Wesleyan in a KCAC contest.
The Threshers are led by 6'3" senior guard Deven Goodwin who currently ranks 12th nationally in scoring at 21.8 points per game.
As always general admission tickets are just $5 while Texas Wesleyan students, faculty, and staff (with ID) as well as children 12 and under are free.
Saturday's game will be the first ever meeting between the two programs and will serve as a quality tune-up for the Rams who dive into Sooner Athletic Conference play on Thursday (January 5), when they travel to Chickasha, OK, to take on the University of Science & Arts.
