Second Half Lifts Evangels Over Rams

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK:  The Texas Wesleyan University men's soccer team (4-11-1, 2-7-1 SAC) saw Mid-America Christian University (12-4-1, 6-3-1 SAC) stage a second half comeback to prevail 3-1 in their season finale.
 
For the second game in a row, Anthony Atilola staked the Rams to a 1-0 advantage.  His goal in the 22nd minute gave him a team-high eight goals on the season.
 
The Texas Wesleyan defensive line did not allow a shot on goal in the first half to preserve the 1-0 lead at halftime.
 
MACU stepped up their offensive attack with 12 shots in the second half including six on target.  Dominik Tajak tied the game in the 56th minute and then netted the go-ahead goal in the 62nd minute.  Oscar Ochoa put the game all but out of reach with an insurance goal in the 73rd minute.
 
Bastian Blumenberg made three saves in goal for the Rams while Jakob O'Meara-Gill did the same for MACU.
 
The loss ends Texas Wesleyan's season with an overall record of 4-11-2. 
 
Ramblings
 
- The Rams are now 19-23-5 all-time in SAC play.  They lead the all-time series against MACU 3-2-1.
