Ram Football

The Rams are 0-5 on the season coming off a 34-0 loss at 11th ranked Langston University.  The Rams competed well against the highly touted Lions, recording a season-high four sacks on the day.  Look for the Rams to focus on ball security at Texas College as turnovers once again proved problematic at Langston.

The Rams continued to show explosiveness on special teams.  Ja'Rod Bedford racked up 126 yards on five punt returns including a season-long 40-yard return that setup the Rams best offensive opportunity of the day.   On the season, the Rams are averaging nearly 22 yards on kick returns and just under 12 yards on punt returns.

The Texas College Steers

The Steers are also 0-5 on the season and are seeking their first win since 2015.  However, the Steers are much improved in 2017 over a team that went 0-9 last year.  A very athletic squad, Texas College is coming off a pair of contests that went down to the wire.  They fell 24-23 at Wayland Baptist on Sep. 23 and 31-26 at Bacone last weekend.

Texas College averages 157 rushing yards per game with Carlos Mosby getting the bulk of the carries.  Quarterback Sean Stell is averaging 108.6 yards per game for the Steers with three TD's against two interceptions on the season.

The Steers are led by Head Coach Charles Moss in his first season.
