Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Warriors top Rams 3-0

FORT WORTH, TX:  The Texas Wesleyan University Men's Soccer team (2-5, 0-1 SAC) fell by a final score of 3-0 against Bacone College (6-2, 1-0 SAC) at Martin Field on Thursday.

The two teams battled through a scoreless first half.  Bacone held a slight 8-7 edge in shots during the frame while Dev Bhamra made three saves to keep the Rams off the scoreboard.

Less than a minute into the second half, Allen Conor headed in a Guillaume Lorieau corner kick for the first goal of the game.  Bacone tacked on a goal from Samuel Chillman five minutes later.

The Rams continued to battle, but a goal from Matteo Ruggieri essentially put the game out of reach in the 62nd minute.
 

The game was very even statistically.  Bacone held a slight 18-15 edge in shots.  Corner kicks were even 4-4.  Bastian Blumenberg made four stops for the Rams and Bhamra made four stops for Bacone.

The Rams are back in action on Saturday, when they host John Brown University.  That game is scheduled for a 4:30 p.m. start at Martin Field.

- The Rams are now 17-17-4 all-time in SAC play.  They lead the all-time series with Bacone 10-3-1.

- John Brown leads the all-time series with the Rams 7-1-1.
