After back-to-back close nail-biters on the road, Texas Wesleyan returned to Farrington Field to secure its second win of the season with a 21-20 thriller over Lyon College. The Rams and Spirit try to end the regular season on a high note on Saturday.
This past week, Micheal Miller was named SAC Defensive Player of the Week after making 14 tackles, including one for a loss. He also broke up two passes, and sealed the game with an interception late in the fourth quarter that allowed the offense to run out the clock and secure the win. Â
Â
After four consecutive close games where the margin of victory was an average of 7.5 points, the regular season finale looks to be another close one. The Spirit has won its last three contests and has scored average of 70 points in that span, while the Rams are giving up just 38 points per game this season.
