GOODWELL, OK - Texas Wesleyan Men's Basketball (7-6, 2-3 SAC) shot 51.7 percent in the second half against Oklahoma Panhandle State (7-4, 2-3 SAC) Thursday night, which is usually good enough to account for a victory. But OPSU shot a sizzling 64.5 percent in the final 20 minutes, which propelled the Aggies to a 92-78 win over the Rams.
Only five players scored for OPSU - all starters. Zero bench points in an eight-man rotation. All five played over 30 minutes and picked up just 19 fouls along the way. With 15:51 remaining, the Rams trailed by just four, 48-44, but OPSU went on a 10-0 run over the next 1:52 to pull away.
Dare Brazeal's bucket with 9:49 to play cut the deficit to two, but the Aggies scored the next six. TXWES never had another opportunity to take the lead.

Through the first five minutes, the Rams took command 12-8 on Jones' three, one of his three of the night. The Aggies scored the next nine before Sallee hit a lay-up in transition. Just before the end of the first half,
Rob Thomas nailed a trey to slice the deficit to five and then Sallee earned an and-1 in the first 14 seconds of the second frame.Â
The four-game stretch since the Aggies joined the conference is now split at two games apiece.
