Texas Wesleyan is finally home. After a four-game road trip to start the season that included two, one-possession losses in conference, a battle with one of the top teams in the NAIA - Kansas Wesleyan and a journey to Houston to face FCS foe Houston Baptist, the Rams will host rival Southwestern Assemblies of God presented by Texas Health Sports Medicine as both teams search for their first win of the season.

The last time the Lions visited Farrington Field, the Rams trailed just 14-0 with seconds to go in the first half before SAGU got a late second quarter touchdown and pulled away. TXWES came up just short in 2018 in Waxahachie, falling 53-46 in a wild one. This season, SAGU isn't quite as explosive, falling to Tabor 40-20, Austin College 27-26 and in their first conference game of the season against Arizona Christian, 27-20.
