WBB Head Coach Trachier breaks down exhibition opener

The Texas Wesleyan University Lady Rams basketball team lost a hard-fought exhibition game in overtime to Tarleton State University Saturday in Wisdom Gym by a score of 86-83.

The Rams were led in scoring by All-American Nicole Gleason who dropped in 20 points against the Lady Texans. Newcomers Destiney Winkfield and Hailee Walls added 20 and 16 points respectively. Jordan Brightwell, returning from a season ending injury last year, added 11. Another newcomer, Alexus Brigham, chipped in with 8 points.

Mackenzie Hailey led the Lady Texans in scoring with 21 points followed by UTEP transfer Alexa Hoy who tossed in 20 points. Marissa Escamilla contributed with 13 points.

The Lady Rams will open the season Tuesday, November 5, 5:30 p.m. in the Sid Richardson Center.
