The Rams finally wrap up their brutal four-game road trip to start the season in Arkansas Saturday against Lyon College, one of the Rams' wins in 2018. Texas Wesleyan despite its record, stacks up nicely in key stats against the Sooner Athletic Conference field. TXWES ranks second in points per game (25.0), tied for first in turnover margin (+1) and takeaways (10) and has the second least penalty yardage, averaging just 47 penalty yards per game. The Rams are 8-for-10 on fourth down which is not only best in the SAC, but is fifth in the country. The eight fourth downs converted is second best in the NAIA, behind Missouri Baptist.

Lyon is 2-1, with a 32-17 SAC win over Texas College last week. Lyon played - and beat - Missouri Baptist August 31 to start the season, 14-10. The Scots program started in 2014 and have never started a season 3-1.
