Texas Wesleyan travels to Houston Baptist Saturday after the Huskies were edged out by UTEP in El Paso last weekend. The Huskies finished 1-10 last season, but at the NCAA FCS level (Southland) which includes other notable Texas programs like Sam Houston State and Abilene Christian.
The Huskies started their football program in 2013 playing in the Southland in every season but their inaugural, when they were unclassified. The Huskies have struggled like most new programs do, going 13-49 in their first six seasons of competition.
