FORT WORTH, Texas - The Texas Wesleyan University Women's Basketball team (13-7, 8-5 SAC) took a 73-50 loss to No. 1 Oklahoma City University (21-0, 13-0) at the Sid Richardson Center on Saturday.

The NAIA's top ranked team stood pat and kept their undefeated season alive in a fundamentally sound win. The Stars used their length and clinical approach to finish plus-15 in rebounding, and controlled the pace in the efficient win.

TXWES led by 4 late in the first quarter, but OCU couldn't miss in the second frame. The Stars shot 71 percent in the second quarter and outscored the Lady Rams 28-7.

The Lady Rams shot 46 percent in the fourth quarter to salvage a 34 percent shooting night for the game.

Nicole Gleason, who moved up to ninth all-time in scoring (1,077 points), was limited to just six points, but led the team with 12 boards. This season, she leads the team in scoring, rebounds, steals, and blocks.

Destiny Winkfield led the team in with 13 points, her 14th double-digit scoring effort of the season.
