About the Rams:

TXWES remains strong heading into the second half of regular season Sooner Athletic Conference play as they travel to Oklahoma City to play the Stars on Thursday night.

The Rams are 6-2 overall and 2-2 in the SAC. In the conference, the Rams are first in FG percentage (49.3) and steals (10.5). They also boast two of the top-5 scorers in the league.

Peyton Sallee is second in SAC scoring averaging 18.1 points per game. Vydal Bradford is fourth with 17.5 points per game.

Sallee is one of the best 3-pt shooters in the nation, ranked fifth in the NAIA in 3-pt FG percentage at 67.5 percent   

Last Time Out:
Francis Doe scored a career high 23 points in the TXWES Men's Basketball Team's 99-63 win over Dallas Christian College on Saturday.

The junior guard's previous best was 21 points vs Eastfield that he set while playing for Richland College. Doe also had a career high 2 blocks and had 6 rebounds against the Crusaders.

Four other Rams scored in double figures- Peyton Sallee (12 points, 5 assists) Vydal Bradford (11 points, 6 rebounds), Ryan Flores (11 points, 3 steals) and David Shepard (11 points, 5 rebounds).

Sebastian Karwoski had a team high 8 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 blocks.

The Rams led 46-22 at the half after DCC committed 19 turnovers and fouled 15 times. TXWES only sent them to the line once and they missed their only free throw of the half. 

TXWES shot 36.1 percent on the floor, went 8-for-16 behind the arc and 12-for-19 at the line while DCC shot 35.7 percent and made two treys.

The Rams kept their foot on the pedal in the last half, improving their shooting to 55.6 percent, made 5 treys and went 8-for-9 at the stripe. They also out-rebounded the Crusaders 40 to 32 in the game, finished with 14 team steals and forced 32 DCC turnovers.

Scouting the Stars:
The Stars got on the court for the first time this season on Jan. 23 as the fell 74-67 at Central Christian College. 

The Stars are under the direction of a new head coach Tim Kisner who assumed the role in April after spending two seasons as the assistant coach at John Brown.

Against CCCK, 6-6 guard Kori Guest led the Stars with 12 points, 6 rebounds and three steals in the season opening loss. 6-2 senior Ryan Birt chipped in 11 points and 6 steals, meanwhile 6-3 senior Kealon Clayborn added 10 points and 2 steals.

Last season Clayborn averaged 8.7 points, 2.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game.

The History:
The overall series is tied 15-15, and the Rams have won the past two contests. In their first meeting on Jan. 10, 1938, TXWES won 43-33 over the Stars in Fort Worth. In their last matchup, the Rams won 73-69 in the Sid Richardson Center. The Rams are 6-10 in Oklahoma City.
