The Rams are holding down the third spot in the SAC standings after a 38-33 win at SAGU, and have an opportunity to take the second spot away from the Langston Lions tomorrow. Every game is important, but this game has the makings of an instant classic as the Rams try to spoil homecoming at Langston.  
 
"Langston puts on a great show for homecoming, and it gets very loud in that stadium. Our guys have been talking all week about how they can't wait to play in that environment," commented head coach Joe Prudh'homme at his internet radio show at Texas de Brazil on Wednesday. 
 
The Langston Lions have not played the same caliber teams as the Rams so far this season, as LU has yet to play Arizona Christian (RV) or #9 Ottawa – Arizona. The team narrowly escaped OPSU 10-7 in their season opener, while the Rams topped the Aggies 49-20 in week 2.
 
The Langston defense have put up some impressive numbers allowing a stingy 127 yards per game (37.4 rushing, 89.6 passing) and just 3.8 points per game. In conference play, the team has allowed just one touchdown, against OPSU.
 
The Rams offense has been humming since Offensive Coordinator Fran Johnson has taking the reins, ranking ninth in the NAIA in points per game at 43.2. Coincidently, both the Rams and Lions earn just over 416 yards per game, but again, the Rams managed over 400 yards against two top 25 team in Arizona Christian and Ottawa – Arizona respectively. Langston's yards per game is elevated from a 687-yard game against NAIA provisional member Arkansas Baptist. In conference, the Lions average just over 349 yards per game.
