OKLAHOMA CITY – A.J. Bobb garnered his second Sooner Athletic Conference football special teams player of the week honor this year. Texas Wesleyan now leads the league in SAC football weekly awards with six.
The SAC gave its weekly offensive honor to Langston's Larry Harrington and defensive player of the week to Damaris Herron of Southwestern Assemblies of God.
Special teams player of the week: A.J. Bobb | Fr. | WR-KR | Houston
A.J. Bobb spearheaded the Rams with 180 all-purpose yards against Langston on Saturday at W.E. Anderson Stadium. Bobb ran back a kick 84 yards for a touchdown to slice Langston's lead to 35-24 in the fourth quarter. Bobb piled up 121 kick-return yards, 31 punt return yards, 23 yards receiving and 5 yards rushing. Bobb has bolted to a 28.9 average yards per kick return, 20.4 average yards on punt returns and 138.2 all-purpose yards per game this season.

Offensive player of the week: Larry Harrington | Jr. | QB | Raleigh, N.C.
Larry Harrington rallied Langston past Texas Wesleyan on Saturday in Langston, Okla., with 312 yards and five touchdowns on 12 of 19 passing attempts and 56 yards rushing on 13 carries. The Lions overcame a 17-7 first-quarter deficit with four unanswered touchdowns. Harrington fired four scoring passes, including a 17-yard touchdown throw to Travis Romar to put Langston up 21-17 just before halftime and a 76-yard scoring strike to John Louis that gave the Lions a 35-17 advantage with 12:33 to go. Langston prevailed 42-31 on homecoming. Harrington has compiled 536 yards and six touchdowns through the air, a 61 percent completion percentage and 530 yards and three touchdowns rushing this year.

Defensive player of the week: Damaris Herron | Sr. | DB | Bakersfield, Calif.
Damaris Herron collected seven tackles, six solo tackles, three tackles for loss, two pass breakups and an interception as Southwestern Assemblies of God won 48-6 over Panhandle State on Saturday in Goodwell, Okla. The Lions allowed a season-low 83 yards rushing and six points, which equaled Southwestern Assemblies of God's least points allowed (six against Arkansas Baptist on Oct. 2) this year. Herron has notched 34 tackles, 29 solo tackles, 5½ tackles for loss and two pickoffs in 2021.
