Tameir Grosvenor scored an early goal to get the Lady Rams started, using a great pass from Savanna Baron that set up a wide open net in the third minute. As the SAGU goalkeeper attempted to clear the ball from Barron, it deflected off Grosvenor, who put a touch on it to redirect it to the back of the net.

Grosvenor did it again in the 16th minute, this time off a set piece just beyond midfield. Marlye Francis pinpointed a pass to Barron right of goal, who served it in to Grosvenor. She laced it into the right bottom corner for a 2-0 TXWES lead.

Before the half, the Lions chipped one in on a penalty kick after TXWES was called for a hand-ball in the box. SAGU's Marie Cano scored the goal to make it 2-1.

It start the second half, Barron tallied her second assist of the match, finding the head of Danica Kunchik on a corner kick from right of goal, who beat the keeper by going up top and center for the goal.

Cara Zwilling scored the final goal of the match in the 78th, after Francis nearly knocked one in from 30 yards out. The shot by Francis hit the cross bar and Zwilling was there to finish the shot, snaking it into the bottom left corner.
