FB: 14 named All-SAC

OKLAHOMA CITY – The Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) has announced its all-conference selections for 2021 football season. 10 Rams were named to the first and second teams, while four more players picked up honorable mention tags.
 
First team honors included WR Collier Ricks, DL Adrian Johnson and DB Elijah Hall.
 
Ricks caught 35 passes for 641 yards this season, seven he took to the house. He averaged 64.1 yards per game in 10 games.
 
Adrian Johnson had 240 yards worth of negative plays by opposing offenses in 2021. The senior led the conference in sack with 13, a program record for sacks in a single season (13). He also becomes the career leader in sacks with 14.
 
Elijah Hall led the conference in interceptions with six on 156 yards and a touchdown, adding 39 tackles.
 
Second team honors went to RB Clint Epperson, TE Charlie Simmons, OL Michael Bonner, LB Tyquandrik Conner, LB Dylan Pettway, Punter Daniel Trejo, and Return Specialist A.J. Bobb.
 
Epperson broke the program's single game rushing touchdowns record with six against Louisiana Christian. Simmons was dynamic blocking and catching, and had four touchdowns before being sidelined with an injury. Michael Bonner led and offensive line that produced a ninth best offence in the NAIA. Pettway led the team in tackles with 56, while Conner finished second with 54. The pair were responsible for three interceptions and four fumbled recoveries. Trejo pinned nearly half of his punts inside the 20, while his longest punt of the season measured 61 yards. A.J. Bobb was instrumental in setting the tone for the offense, finishing the season with 717 return yards, two touchdowns, including an 89-yard return.
 
Honorable mention designations went to QB Dalton Dale, OL Cayden Glasgow, DL Davonn Granger, and Center Petr Svoboda.  
 
Dale paced the offense, posting 1,999 passing yards, 24 touchdowns and just four INTs. Glasgow and Svoboda joined Bonner in helping the O to an NAIA top 10 finish. Granger logged 20 tackles, three sacks, 5.5 TFL, a pair of fumble recoveries, and a pass break-up in 2021.
 
The team finished the season 7-3, including going 4-0 at home, its best start since the program restarted five years ago. The Rams finished as a top 10 offense, scoring an average of 42 points per game and averaging 401 yards per game.
