FORT WORTH, Texas--The Texas Wesleyan Men's Basketball team defeated Dallas Christian College, 87-67 on Wednesday night at the Sid Richardson Center.
TXWES had 3 players post double-digit figures. Senior
Vydal Bradford scored 21 points, junior Elijah Elliot scored 19 points, and junior
Peyton Sallee scored 17 points.
The Rams held the Crusaders to 31 of 67 shooting from the field (36 percent).The Rams stifling defense also forced 11 turnovers.
The Rams dominated the pace of play, out-rebounded DCC 45 to 30, and the block down low with 36 points in the paint.
TXWES shot 31 of 67 from the field (46 percent). The Rams also made 15 of their 21 free-throw attempts (71 percent). The Rams also shot 10 of 31 from the three-point line (32 percent).
Nick Erves scored 15 points off the bench for DCC.
TXWES moves to 2-0 on the season and DCC moves to 0-3 on the season. The Rams will face Jarvis Christian College on Saturday, Nov 6 at 4 p.m. in Hawkins, Texas.
