FORT WORTH, Texas — In their first game of the continuing spring season, the Texas Wesleyan Volleyball team swept Arlington Baptist in straight sets (25-9, 25-15, 25-7) on Thursday evening.

The Rams hit an impressive 53 percent, making just five errors in the match. ABU hit -.41 and committed 17 errors.

TXWES had 39 kills to the Patriot's 14.
Nyia Anderson led both teams with a season high 13 kills, while
Veronika Webb added 9 and
Arianna Alvarado had 8.

Andrea Malek recorded 2 aces and 8 digs while
Morgan Burns had 20 assists in the match.

The Rams posted 15 kills each in their first and second sets. ABU's best set was the second in which they hit a positive 20 percent with 9 kills. They tied the Rams at 7 points, but TXWES went on a 5-point run the Patriots would not recover.

TXWES began set three with an 8-0 start, five points of which were ABU errors. The Rams hit a match best 69.2 percent in the final set and won the match to advance to 5-1 overall while the Patriots drop to 6-12 on the season.
