PLAINVIEW, Texas — The Texas Wesleyan Men's basketball team fell 71-58 at Wayland Baptist on Saturday.

Two Rams recorded a double-double in
Sebastian Karwoski and
Vydal Bradford.

Karwoski got his third double-double of the season on 13 points and 10 rebounds. Bradford nabbed his first double-double of the season with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

WBU was led by Devin Avent with 20 points.

TXWES finished the game shooting 19-for-60 on the floor, 4-for-16 from the arc and 16-for-24 at the line. Meanwhile, WBU shot 22-for-54 from the field, 7-for-25 from deep and 20-for-26 at the stripe.

The Pioneers outrebounded the Rams 45 to 38 but committed 16 turnovers to TXWES' 12.

The Rams were on the heels of the Pioneers for much of the game but got their first lead since the 16:37 in the first half when they went on a 7-point run five minutes into the second. But the final five minutes of the game belonged to WBU who broke open the lead to double digits and won 71-58 at the buzzer.

The loss brings TXWES to 9-3 overall and 4-3 in the conference. WBU is 7-4 overall and 6-3 in the SAC.

The Rams finish their 3-game road trip at Southwestern Assemblies of God starting at 8 pm on Feb. 9 in Waxahachie, Texas.
