OKLAHOMA CITY – The Sooner Athletic Conference announced today the pairings of the 2020 SAC Women's Soccer Tournament. As the fifth-seed, Texas Wesleyan (6-3) will travel to fourth seed Oklahoma City (8-3) to play in the quarterfinal match at Brian Harvey Field this Thursday at 7 p.m.
The two teams met most recently at Martin Field on March 6, a 1-0 game that ended in favor of the Stars.
The last post-season meeting between the two team was a quarterfinal matchup back in 2014, when
Paige Wheaton dropped in a goal in the 79th minute to season a 1-0 win and extend the season.
Savannah Barron leads the team with career-best 10 goals. Barron,
Kristen Carter, and
Vanessa Soriano all lead with three assists each.
The tournament semifinals take place April 5 with the championship April 8. The SAC Tournament champion collects a bid into the NAIA Championships, which start with the NAIA Championship Opening Round on April 15-17 at campus sites across the country.
