OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — After falling to No. 4 Oklahoma City earlier in the day, TXWES softball ended the day by splitting a double header with Southwestern Christian, winning game one 10-1 but falling 12-11 in nine innings on Saturday night.

In game one,
Taylor Tubbs went 3 for 3 with a double for 4 RBI to lead the Lady Rams offense.Â

Brynna Foster batted 2 for 3 with 1 RBI in addition to pitching a complete game win. She is 7-6 this season in the circle. Against SCU she allowed 5 hits, 1 run, walked 3 and struck out 7.

Kylie Summers rounded out the TXWES highlights batting 2 for 4 with three stolen bases.

Game two saw Summers steal four more bases. She batted 1 for 2 and crossed the plate herself three times.

Tubbs had another excellent outing, batting 2 for 4 for 4 RBI on two doubles. Foster went 2 for 5 with a double, and
Ashton Davis hit 2 for 4 with 3 RBI and a double.
Mercedes Beltran batted in two runs as well.

Taylor Tubbs got the loss in the circle after 8.2 innings pitched. She allowed 7 hits and 5 runs, only 2 of which were earned. She had 2 walks and 6 strikeouts.

The Lady Rams will have another busy day with three games on Sunday, April 18. They will face Langston for a double header before ending the day with a rematch at No. 4 OCU.
