TXWES Men's Basketball (1-0) opened the season Saturday against Arlington Baptist College (0-1) in the Sid Richardson Center.

The Rams took a 50-28 lead into halftime. TXWES shot 18-33 (54.5%) from the field, 8-16 (50%) from the three- point line and 6-9 (66.7%) from the free-throw line in the first half. In the second half the Rams shot 19-38 (50%) from the field, 3-16 (18.8) from the three-point line and 7-9 (77.8%) from the free throw line.

For the game, TXWES 37-71 from the field (52.1%), 11-32 from the three-point line (34.4%), and 13-18 from the free-throw line (72.2%). The Rams scored 18 second chance points, 46 points in the paint, and 24 points off turnovers.

TXWES held ABU to 26-51 shooting from the field (51%), 1-7 from the three-point line (14.3%) and 13-27 from the free-throw line (48.1%). ABU scored 42 points in the paint, 11 points off turnovers, and 17 second chance points.

Three Rams scored in double figures. Keyaun Hoskins scored 20 points on 8-14 shooting from the field Lamine Komara scored 13 points and Juwan Jones scored 12 points.


TXWES will play Our Lady of the Lake during Homecoming Weekend November 5, at 7 PM in the Sid Richardson Center.
