TXWES Men's Basketball (5-4, 3-2 SAC) beat Southwestern Christian University (4-4, 2-3 SAC) on the road Thursday 89-79.
The Rams led 47-38 going into halftime. TXWES shot 19-45 (42.22%) from the field, 7-21 (33.33%) from the three-point line and 2-2 (100%) from the free-throw line in the first half. In the second half, the Rams shot 18-39 (46.15%) from the field, 1-7 (14.29%) from the three-point line and 5-6 (83.33%) from the free throw line. Â
For the game, TXWES was 27-64 (44.1%) from the field, 8-28 (28.6%) from the three-point line and 7-8 (87.5%) from the free-throw line. The Rams scored ten second-chance points, 52 points in the paint and 25 points off turnovers.
TXWES held SWC to 27-61 (44.3%) shooting from the field, 8-25 (32%) from the three-point line and 17-26 (64.5%) from the free-throw line. SAGU scored 34 points in the paint, five points off turnovers and 16 second-chance points.

The Rams next contest will be on the road Wednesday, December 14, at the University of Science & Arts, with a scheduled tip-off for 7:45 PM. The Rams will play at home again on December 20 against North American University.
