Box Score FORT WORTH-- The Texas Wesleyan women's basketball team (20-5, 13-5 SAC) defeated Oklahoma Panhandle State (6-16,4-15) 89-41 on senior day at the Sid Richardson Center.

Hailee Walls, Evie Whorley, Tianna Tullis, Lindsey Thorpe, and Shanice Veasley were the five seniors honored on Saturday afternoon. These five seniors have 11 combined years of playing experience at Texas Wesleyan and have helped the Lady Rams basketball program to 60 wins, including 35 wins at home during that stretch and helped the team to an NAIA Scholar Team award.

TXWES dominated the game from start to finish. The Lady Rams outscored OPSU 25-6 in the first ten minutes of play. TXWES played stifling defense, holding OPSU to 27 percent shooting from the field for the game. 

The Lady Rams shot 38 percent from the field and shot 8 of 24 from the three-point line (33 percent.) TXWES converted defense into offense, scoring 24 points off turnovers. 

The Lady Rams received a huge lift from the bench as Hailee Walls scored 16 points, Mary Nyakundi scored 13 points, Tianna Tullis scored 6 points, Lindsey Thorpe scored 5 points, Ariell Warren scored 5 points, Maliah Lacour scored 2 points, and Madison Horak scored 2 points for a total of 49 bench points.

11 different TXWES players scored a basket and 4 Lady Rams scored in double-digits. Junior Mary Nyakundi scored 13 points, senior Hailee Walls cored 16 points, junior Kertisa Amos scored 17 points, and junior Makayla Coy scored 10 points.

TXWES has won 20 games in a season for the first time since the 2012-2013 team. The Lady Rams move to 7-3 all-time against OPSU and will face-off against OCU on Thursday, Feb. 17 at the Sid Richardson Center.
