Box Score SILOAM SPRINGS, AR.-- The Texas Wesleyan men's basketball team (19-11, 12-10 SAC) lost 57-54 on the road against John Brown University (18-12, 12-10 SAC) in the final game of the regular season.
The Rams trailed 36-27 at halftime. TXWES shot 8-24 from the field (34 percent,) 4-8 from the three-point line (50 percent,) and 7-8 from the free-throw line (87 percent) in the first half. In the second half the Rams shot 12-32 from the field (32 percent,) 1-7 from the three-point line (14 percent,) and 2-5 from the free-throw line (40 percent.)
For the game, TXWES shot 20-55 from the field (36 percent,) 5-15 from the three-point line (33 percent,) and 9-13 from the free-throw line (69 percent.) The Rams scored 7 second chance points, 46 points in the paint, and 8 points off turnovers.
TXWES held JBU to 19-49 shooting from the field (38 percent,) 8-22 from the three-point line (36 percent,) and 11-13 from the free-throw line (84 percent.) JBU scored 36 points in the paint, 11 points off turnovers, and 13 second chance points.

TXWES put forth a valiant effort as they out-scored the Golden Eagles 17-10 in the last 8 minutes of play after trailing 47-37. The Rams comeback fell short as JBU held on to win 57-54.
TXWES finishes fifth in the Sooner Athletic Conference during the regular season. TXWES will play in the first round of the SAC Tournament on Tuesday, Feb. 22. The location and opponent has not been determined yet.
