OKLAHOMA CITY-- The Texas Wesleyan Softball team (26-19, 15-13 SAC) suffered a hard fought 4-1 loss against Oklahoma City University (45-6, 28-4) on Saturday afternoon in an SAC Tournament elimination game. TXWES put up a valiant effort, but fell short as the Stars held on to win and end the Lady Rams conference tournament run. TXWES had a strong season and will look to continue the momentum into next season with many key players returning.
The Lady Rams were in the game until the end, but OCU pulled away late in a 4-1 win on Saturday.
Kylie Summers reached on a base hit and scored on a wild pitch, gaining an early 1-0 lead.
Taylor Tubbs was in the circle for TXWES. The pitcher allowed seven hits and three runs over four innings, striking out four and walking zero.
Dylann Kaderka threw two innings in relief.

Kylie Summers, and
Rhea-Ann Avalos all had one hit to lead TXWES SB. TXWES SB did not commit a single error in the field.
Freshman
Rhea-Ann Avalos hit a team high 14 home-runs, which is four short of tying the single-season homerun record. Avalos also recorded a team-high 35 RBI's.
Kylie Summers led The Lady Rams in hits with 57 and had a team high 393 batting average. Summers also recorded 33 RBI"s and five home-runs.
Taylor Tubbs recorded 13 wins on the mound this season and
Dylann Kaderka won 12 games. Kaderka had a 3.60 ERA and Tubbs had a 3.42 ERA. The Lady Rams season comes to end with many key players returning for next season and the future looking bright for the program.
