SEWARD, Neb. – The Texas Wesleyan University (TXWES) Rams volleyball team lost their first match after losing 0-3 on the first day of the Concordia University Bulldog Bash to the College of Saint Mary (CSM) Flames.
The TXWES lost to CSM 9-25, 14-24 and 18-25 Friday afternoon. TXWES is now 3-1 on the season, while CSM remains undefeated with a 5-0 record.
Sidney Charlton led the Rams with four kills, with Carly Unruh and Kendal King recording three kills in the match.
Three Rams lead in the blocks category with Carly Unruh, Victoria De Silva and Sydney Charlton, each with three blocks.
Ruby O'Brien led the Rams in assist with ten, and Catherine Wise recorded six assist in the match.
Andrea Makel led the TXWES Volleyball team in digs with 14, while Ruby O'Brien recorded 11 digs and Emily Lewis with four digs.
The Rams will next play in the Concordia University Bulldog Bash on Saturday, August 27, at 11 am against McPhearson College and will close out play in the tournament against host Concordia University at 4 pm.
