The Texas Wesleyan Ram's Men's Soccer Team (3-0-1, 0-0-0 SAC) hosted the Southwestern College of Kansas Moundbuilders (1-2-0) on Sept. 5. TXWES held the game at Martin Field at 11:00 AM. The Rams opened up the game rather quickly, with
Nate Kopetsky finding the back of the net with the assistance of
Mario Herrera in the 15th minute of the match. It would be a physical match between the two teams for the rest of the half, with both sides picking up six fouls. However, the Jags came rolling out of halftime, scoring quickly in the 50th minute to tie the game up. For the rest of the half, the Rams would be drilling balls at the opponent's net, with one finally finding home from
Oscar Odriozola, assisted by Mathis Gouffroy. With 15 shots alone in the second half and the relentless attack, the Rams would ultimately take the win 2-1. You can catch your TXWES Men's Soccer team at their next home match on Sept. 8 at Martin field, as they will be hosting the University of Houston-Victoria.
