TXWES Men's Basketball (8-8, 5-5 SAC) beat Wayland Baptist University (10-6, 5-5 SAC) in the Sid Richardson Center 95-90.

 
The Rams led 52-49 going into halftime. TXWES shot 20-30 (66.67%) from the field, 5-10 (50%) from the three-point line and 7-9 (77.78%) from the free-throw line in the first half. In the second half, the Rams shot 13-28 (46.43%) from the field, 7-17 (41.18%) from the three-point line and 10-13 (76.92%) from the free throw line.

For the game, TXWES was 33-58 from the field (56.9%), 12-27 from the three-point line (44.4%), and 17-22 from the free-throw line (77.3%). The Rams scored 11 second-chance points, 36 points in the paint, and 26 points off turnovers.

Two Rams scored in double figures. Akili Vining scored a career high 45 points on 16-23 from the field and nine rebounds, one short of a double-double. Michale Mee scored 16 points on 5-9 from the field in 38 minutes of play.
