BARTLESVILLE, Okla. – Texas Wesleyan University defeated Oklahoma Wesleyan 68-48 to capture third straight win iside of the Mueller Sports Center Monday night.
The two teams would trade early in the contest with Texas Wesleyan having a 16-14 lead heading into the second quarter.
Kamryn Gibson would open the quarter with a jump shot to set the tone as the Rams would go on a 22-9 run to extend their lead. The first half of action saw the dominate at the free throw line draining 12 of 16 shots while the Eagles went 0-8. The Rams would continue to outscore the Eagles for the next two quarters finishing the games with a 68-48 score.
Leading the Rams,
Rikeyah Gant ended the night with 20 points.
Kamryn Gibson also had a big night with 12 points and 8 rebounds to her name. Teammates
Taryn Wills,
Savanna Smith, and Payton Foster each added seven points.
Texas Wesleyan will travel to San Antonio, TX to compete in the Our Lady of the Lake Classic on November 10
th. The Rams are set to face Trinity Christian College (Ill.), Tip-off is set for 3:00 PM CT.
