The TXWES Men's Basketball (13-13, 10-10 SAC) lost at home to #5 Langston University (24-2, 18-2 SAC) on Saturday, 76-60.
   
The Rams trailed 35-26 going into halftime. TXWES shot 10-24 (41.67%) from the field, 3-12 (25%) from the three-point line and 3-4 (75%) from the free-throw line in the first half. In the second half, the Rams shot 12-29 (41.38%) from the field, 3-11 (27.27%) from the three-point line and 7-9 (77.78%) from the free throw line.
   
For the game, TXWES was 22-53 from the field (41.5%), 6-23 from the three-point line (26.1%), and 10-13 from the free-throw line (76.9%). The Rams scored eight second-chance points, 20 points in the paint, and four points off turnovers.
   
TXWES contained LU to 27-56 shooting from the field (48.2%), 8-20 from the three-point line (40%) and 14-22 from the free-throw line (63.6%). LU scored 32 points in the paint, eight points off turnovers and nine second-chance points.
   
Two Rams scored in double figures. Robert Brown led the Rams with 18 points, on 7-10 from the floor in 14 minutes. Gavin Harris came off the bench to score 16 points in 34 minutes.
 
Texas Wesleyan's last two regular season games are on the road against Oklahoma Panhandle State University at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16, followed by a 3:45 p.m. game against Wayland Baptist University in Plainview on Saturday, Feb. 18.
