Texarkana, TX – The Rams traveled to Texarkana on Monday with TXWES edged out Texas A&M University at Texarkana with a final score of 3-2.
The Texas Wesleyan Rams (3-2-2) displayed their offensive prowess as Mathis Guffroy found the back of the net twice in the 17th and 48th minutes, assisted by Luca Hoff on the first goal. Diogo Stefane added another goal for the Rams at the 20:48 mark.
The Texas A&M Texarkana Eagles (2-3-0) fought back valiantly in the second half. Diego Picano scored in the 59th minute, with assists from Jaret Rojas and Golden Eguaikhide. Golden Eguaikhide then added a second goal for the Eagles in the 63rd minute, assisted by Christian Gomez.
The match saw some disciplinary action, with yellow cards issued to Diego Picano (TAMUT), Osvaldo Lopez (TXWES), and the Texas Wesleyan team. Christian Gomez of Texas A&M Texarkana received a yellow card as well.
